SAN FRANCISCO – May 15, 2014 – GoodData, the leader in cloud business intelligence, today announced its ranking in the Leader Quadrant of Nucleus Research’s Technology Value Matrix for Business Intelligence and Analytics for the first half of 2014. Nucleus Research places vendors in the BI Leader category who provide key functionalities, including “data discovery and visualization products, cloud‐based and as‐a‐service business intelligence tools” that improve business value with high levels of usability. GoodData was also included in the Leader Quadrant in the second half of 2013.

“GoodData has cemented its status as a leading cloud BI provider over more traditional vendors based on the software’s usability, data governance, licensing, cloud model and thought leadership,” said Nina Sandy, principal analyst, Nucleus Research. “Customers value the ability to collect, store, refine, visualize, analyze, report and integrate data. This is what propelled GoodData to the leadership quad in our Value Matrix in the first half of 2014.”

The Technology Value Matrix bases usability scores on the intuitiveness of the application, availability of role‐based interfaces, training requirements, and productivity impact on users. Functionality scores are based on the breadth and repeatability in the core application, the availability and ease of integration of add‐on functionality that delivers additional benefit, and vendors’ investment in innovative function outside the application that delivers additional benefit.

The rating follows the March launch of the Open Analytics Platform that includes open APIs for adding custom visualizations in HTML5 and JavaScript and for automating BI tasks such as data workflow, event notifications and interactions with transaction systems.

In the past year, GoodData has increased its focus on social analytics, announcing a partnership with Semantria, a leading sentiment intelligence solutions provider. GoodData has more than 100 Powered By customers serving more than 35,000 downstream customers with embedded analytics.

“GoodData is committed to constantly improving our Open Analytics Platform that helps businesses transition to true all data enterprises,” said GoodData founder and CEO Roman Stanek. “We are honored to be recognized once again as leaders, and will continue to prioritize customer experience and industry vision.”

GoodData provides an extensible, end‐to‐end BI solution for midsize to large enterprises that allows companies to govern and discover all of their unstructured and structured data. It enables IT to govern data and deliver trusted datasets to end users for data discovery as a complement to existing information management initiatives or as net new deployments. The GoodData platform provides organizations the ability to collect, store, refine, visualize, analyze, report and integrate data.
