Annual Wisdom of Crowds® Cloud BI Study Placed GoodData Above 22 Other BI Vendors
SAN FRANCISCO – June 12, 2014 – GoodData, the leader in cloud business intelligence, today announced that it earned first place for cloud business intelligence functionality in the 2014 Wisdom of Crowds ® Cloud Business Intelligence Market Study. GoodData was rated above 22 other BI vendors for its feature functionality and architecture.
Scores were based on feature functionality including advanced visualization, personalized dashboards, end-user self-service, interactive analysis, in-memory support, data integration and embedded BI as well as architectural functionality including public and private cloud, multi-tenancy, cloud application connections and more. The report found that Cloud BI importance showed visible gains year over year since 2012 in all positive levels of importance, reflected in a rising mean measurement of sentiment.
"This year's Cloud BI Market Study builds upon the 2012 and 2013 editions to include valuable year-over-year comparisons," said Howard Dresner, founder and chief research officer at Dresner Advisory Services. "This year we see that Cloud BI has shown visible gains since 2012 in all positive levels of importance, with more than 75 percent of respondents considering cloud BI models at least somewhat important. We congratulate GoodData on their placement in this year's study."
“As an end-to-end cloud BI platform, GoodData provides the most robust functionality for customers through both front-end data discovery features that they experience everyday and back-end infrastructure that we manage for them,” said GoodData founder and CEO Roman Stanek. “Maintaining a scalable, flexible solution that satisfies our end users is our top priority. Conducted by Dresner Advisory Services, the Wisdom of Crowds® Cloud Business Intelligence Market Study attracted nearly nine percent more respondents than in 2013 and almost 30 percent more than in 2012 study. Now in its third year, the study expanded data collection to include Dresner Advisory’s own research community of roughly 2,000 organizations as well as vendors’ customer communities. The study serves as an objective source of industry research to help consumers understand how their peers are leveraging and investing in business intelligence and related technologies.
