GoodData Achieves Unprecedented Customer and Revenue Growth

Analytics platform expands user base to 130,000 in 2013, adds customers including Target Corporation and Price Costco International

SAN FRANCISCO – February 13, 2014 – GoodData, the leader in cloud business intelligence, today announced it achieved record growth and momentum in 2013. The company dramatically grew its customer base and revenue, expanded its team and senior leadership, received additional funding and was recognized for being a leading business intelligence solution.

Dramatic Growth and Market Penetration

In 2013, GoodData achieved 200% year over year growth in the number of companies it served, added 116 new customers and signed 30 new six figure deals. In the fourth quarter of 2013, GoodData saw its highest booking quarter ever.

"We made huge strides in 2013 and expect 2014 to be an even more momentous year," said Keith Adams, Chief Financial Officer at GoodData. "Our continued focus on net new customers, investing in current customers and product innovation puts us in an excellent position to continue our momentum into the next year."

GoodData also grew its funding in 2013. The company received an additional $22 million in a Series D round led by TOTVS Ventures, the investment arm of TOTVS S.A., the largest enterprise software company in Latin America. Also participating were Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst Partners, Next World Capital and Tenaya Capital. This round brought GoodData's total funding received to $75.5 million.

Customer Obsession

GoodData's customer adoption grew dramatically in 2013 in terms of user growth and companies served. GoodData's user base grew from 30,000 at the beginning of 2013 to 130,000 today. GoodData added a number of Fortune 500 customers in 2013 including the Target Corporation and Price Costco International.

Other new customers from 2013 include: Collective Bias, CSC, GitHub, Keboola Data Services, Klarna, Made.com, MapMyFitness, MMIS, Nuance Communications, Inc., Phizzle, Inc, Servicechannel.com, Inc., Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Switchfly, Inc., TOTVS, and Universitynow Inc. GoodData also deepened engagements with key partners including customer service software leader Zendesk.

Team Growth and Executive Appointments

GoodData hired 128 new employees in 2013 and added four key new hires to its leadership team including:

  • Divyasmita Ghatak, the company's first Chief People Officer
  • Keith Adams, Chief Financial Officer
  • Ran Van Riper, Senior Vice President of Global Services
  • Jeff Morris, Vice President of Product Marketing

GoodData plans to hire an additional 70 people in 2014 and currently has 36 job openings. The company's investment in its people, especially through the new role of Chief People Officer, reflects GoodData's commitment to employee engagement, talent development and corporate culture.

  • Best Business Intelligence/Analytics Solution by the 2013 SIIA CODiE Awards
  • Entrepreneur of the Year (GoodData CEO Roman Stanek) by the Business Intelligence Group

GoodData was also recognized by industry analysts including Nucleus Research, who ranked GoodData a leader in its Value Matrix for Business Intelligence and Analytics released in December 2013.
