Gartner Report: Use Cloud to Compose Analytics, BI and Data Science Capabilities for Reusability and Resilience
According to Gartner, emerging analytics, BI, and data science capabilities are on the cloud, but organizations fail to achieve synergy from them. Data and analytics leaders should build a cloud-enabled composition environment that lets users assemble their advanced analytics use cases.
“By 2023, 70% of mainstream organizations will use a composability metric to select new cloud applications and platform services.”
We believe by the same year, Gartner expects organizations to move more than two-thirds of advanced analytics, for both development and production, to the cloud. However, concerns for the ROI of these massive migration efforts are common, as less than a third of organizations are in the cloud today.
“Based on the Gartner 2020 Building Digital Platforms survey, cloud native, agile, and API are the most used architectural approaches. Application developers in the developer community can further work and collaborate on the improved API and API marketplace from ABI and DSML platforms. This makes them easier to be embeddable within digital platforms, enabling data-driven actions in a broader cloud ecosystem.”
This Gartner report provides guidance on how your organization can adopt an interchangeable approach to their analytics tech stack and build value by migrating from on-premises to the cloud.
