Analytical Model

An analytical model is a user’s view on the data in a workspace in a business context. The analytical model includes metrics, visualizations, and dashboards.

You or your business user define what metrics they need to create, how to slice the metrics in visualizations, what type of the visualization to choose and how to build dashboards of the visualizations to get the most relevant information for analyzing the current state of business and to improve future decisions.

The analytical model is tied to the workspace. Within a workspace hierarchy, the analytical model of a parent workspace is shared with the child workspaces.
