Analytical Model

An analytical model is a user’s view on the data in a workspace in a business context. The analytical model includes measures, insights, and dashboards.

You or your business user define what measures they need to create, how to slice the measures in insights, what type of the insight to choose and how to build dashboards of the insights to get the most relevant information for analyzing the current state of business and to improve future decisions.

The analytical model is tied to the workspace. Within a workspace hierarchy, the analytical model of a parent workspace is shared with the child workspaces.
