Definitions and Notes
- Accounts: GoodData accounts provide basic access to the GoodData platform to load and store data in an analytical data warehouse, build reports and dashboards, host projects and invite users for collaboration.
- Projects: GoodData accounts are organized into projects. Each project has separate data warehouse, analytical model, metrics, reports, dashboards and users. Demo projects (e.g., FoodMart, NetSuite and Salesforce demos) and public projects (e.g., US Census, Consumer Price Index) do not count towards an account’s project thresholds.
- Data Warehouse: Refers to the total volume of data loaded and stored in GoodData’s analytical data warehouse. Data Warehouse size is a factor of data size and complexity (essentially, the number of records multiplied by the number of attributes per record). Note that data storage is calculated cumulatively across projects. Here are two helpful guidelines on data warehouse sizes:
- Payroll Records: 10MB in data equals approximately 100,000 payroll records with first name, last name, pay date and salary.
- Salesforce.com Opportunities: 10MB of data equals approximately 5,000 complete opportunity records in Salesforce.com including custom fields.
- Users are registered users associated with projects. In order to view, edit or create reports in GoodData, or receive email reports and notifications, users must have account with GoodData. While there are different type of users within a GoodData project (e.g., editor, administrator), they are all counted the same.
