- Fill out this online form and give us permission to use your opportunity data in the Pipeline Genome Project (don’t worry, all of your data will be anonymous and aggregated -- we will never share any of your confidential opportunity- or customer-specific data)
- SiriusDecisions will produce a benchmark index and report from the data gathered across all participating companies.

Why are you doing this?
The Pipeline Genome Project was conceptualized to overcome the typical challenges of gathering industry data on sales effectiveness. Instead of relying solely on industry experts and self-reported sales data, the Project can now leverage GoodData’s ability to capture historical sales pipeline data from thousands of companies with SiriusDecisions expertise in B2B sales and marketing effectiveness.

What data are you collecting?
When you sign up for a free trial of GoodData's sales analytics app, GoodData collects over 2 years of opportunity history data from your Salesforce account to provide historical trending and pipeline analysis. When you opt into the Pipeline Genome Project, we take a summary of that pipeline data - aggregated number and size of opportunities by stage, and historical win rates. We also collect basic demographic information from you (company size, industry, etc.) to perform industry-by-industry analysis.
How are you ensuring it’s anonymous?
First, all your data within GoodData is stored in segregated data warehouses, accessible only by you. Second, when you opt into the Project, all data used for aggregation and benchmarking is stripped of customer- or company-identifiable data. No individual opportunity or customer data will be included in the Project beyond opportunity dates, stages and opportunity sizes.
How do you ensure you have permission to use my data?
When you opt into the Project, you will need to agree to additional terms of service that expressly give GoodData permission to share summary data in this project.
Is my data safe?
Yes. GoodData is SAS70 certified, and have been through extensive security reviews by customers and by Salesforce.
When will I see the results?
We anticipate to share results from the Pipeline Genome Project by the end of 2011.
