Release 67: The Power of Visualization - GoodData

Release 67: The Power of Visualization

GoodData is paving the way for intuitive BI. And the unveiling of Release 67 shows just that. With today’s release, we are pleased to announce three powerful new features that mark a new way into how business users interact with data.

  1. Headline-Sparkline Dashboard Widget
  2. Table Enhancements
  3. Chrome Frame Support for IE7 & IE8
Headline-Sparkline Dashboard Widget

Let us scream from the rooftops how thrilled we are to be launching dashboard widgets. These widgets are the first in our series of new widget features. The simplicity and power of trend analysis is combined into one report. It is simple to create:

  • In the Edit mode, click on “Add Widget.” This tab is located on the main navigation bar.
  • Select you criteria for the Sparkline.
  • Add the Headline text and click “Apply.”

Tables and Sorting Icons

The table layout, fonts and column sorting icons are refreshed for an updated look and feel. For starters, the colors of the sorting icons have changed to correlate with the table header (you might remember the red sorting icon).

Chrome Frame Support
for IE7 & IE

IE7 and IE8 users will experience a significant performance boost. GoodData now supports the Chrome frame plugin for older versions of Internet Explorer browsers. Get yourself revved up by downloading the latest plugin. Take note, in order for the embedded reports and dashboards to render correctly by Google Chrome Frame, please load from a Google Chrome Frame rendered embedding page (e.g. Salesforce). We can help you make sure you are set up properly. Send us an email for further clarification.

I like the Sparkline feature - Have done it manually for multiple clients in engagements….

Hi Deepak,

Thanks for you comment.  No more manual creation for you…..that sounds like a huge time saver.  Happy reporting!
