Sales Director (email)

GoodData is looking for a solid Sales Director to spearhead our customer acquisition effort. Successful candidate will have experience selling enterprise software, database or BI background and solid track record of hitting quota. This will be initially an individual contributor role which can lead to a management opportunity as the company grows.

Skills

Success in the position will require the following characteristics:

  • Drive – Your are a highly driven individual who understands what it takes to sell in a small company, hands-on work environment. You are both self sufficient and able to attract and coordinate company resources in specific sales situations.
  • SaaS Experience – you understand the SaaS sales model and are comfortable closing business over the phone. You understand the difference between building an effective business relationship and “wining and dining” the customer.
  • Communication Skills – You have great verbal and written communication skills. You are used to using these skills to persuade customers of the value of what you sell and to keep the internal team up-to-speed so that they can fully support and learn from your selling efforts.
  • Situational Fluency – You are naturally curious and very comfortable talking about both technology and business. In particular, you have a solid understanding of business intelligence and analytics. In addition, you understand the sales reporting function and how sales executives can use information to improve top line results. You are also familiar with Salesforce.com and how it is used in a corporate, process-centric sales organization.
  • Intelligence – Cloud BI is an emerging marketing category and GoodData is already positioned as an early leader in this market space. Transforming this early leadership position into repeatable sales results will require someone with the “smarts” to provide creative solutions to the selling challenges typical in an early stage environment.

In additional to these characteristics, successful candidate will also have:

  • 5+ years of sales success and over quota performance
  • Excellent customer references
  • “Solution Selling” or related sales methodology experience
  • An understanding and commitment to using CRM systems as an important business tool.
  • A strong commitment to customer success as the backbone of a company’s brand.


Customer Development Specialist (email)

GoodData is seeking a Customer Development Specialist to help us grow our customer base and strengthen communication with our customers. This position will work on a number of customer related tasks spanning marketing, sales and customer relationship management. It’s not a telemarketing job though excellent customer skills and an ability to make a limited number of out bound calls is critical. You will work closely with the executive team to help connect the dots between marketing, sales, business development and customer relationship management. You will support outbound marketing campaigns, process and follow-up on inbound leads, help with scheduling client demonstrations and presentation, organize structured user dialogs for our product management team and support critical administrative processes including contracts and NDA’s.

This is a ground floor position in a fast moving start-up lead by highly successful entrepreneurs and funded by top investors. Success in this job will require drive, flexibility, creative problem solving, great communication skills and the ability to multi-task. Intelligence and a great sense of humor are also helpful.

Position Requirements:

  • 2+ Years in a sales and market role.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, Excel and other data management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Some direct customer interaction experience.
